Half Term Highlights

Roll up, roll up. Children of Brighton, we have got some treats in store for you this half-term at The Warren. Join us between the 1st and 6th of June for a series of shows to make you squeal with delight.


The Snail and the Whale

Join an adventurous young girl and her seafaring father as they reimagine the story of a tiny snail's incredible trip around the world, inspired by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's much-loved picture book.


Longing to see the world, a tiny sea snail hitches a lift on the tail of a great big, grey-blue humpback whale. Together they go on an amazing journey, brought vividly to life through live music, storytelling and lots of laughs - but when the whale gets beached, how will the snail save him?


A heart-warming adventure for everyone aged four and up, from Tall Stories, the Olivier Award-nominated company that brought you 'The Gruffalo' and 'Room on the Broom' live on stage.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland


Drawing on the wealth of peculiar episodes from both Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, Box Tale Soup invites you down the rabbit hole into a timeless world of wondrous fantasy. Carroll's Wonderland floods onto the stage in a whirl of strange contraptions and frantic characters. No matter how young or old, everyone will find their own moment of magic in Wonderland and make it safely home again - the only danger is, you may not want to leave!

Where The Lost Socks Go

Where do our missing socks go? Do they end up down the plug hole or do they go sunbathing in the Caribbean?


Milo thinks that wearing odd socks is embarrassing, so his weird and wonderful friend Luna leads him on an exciting expedition, determined to show Milo that he shouldn't have to follow the crowd to fit in.


Join Milo and Luna on their quest to find Milo's missing sock. Combining live music, catchy original songs and a host of crazy characters, 'Where The Lost Socks Go' celebrates the odd and invites you to be curious.

Mischief Makers

Giggle till your jaw drops off with this silly, interactive, family-fun performance. Clowns Crash and Wallop have a mission to spread mischief! Are you fast, loud and daring enough to become one of the Mischief Makers? The boisterous clowns have a plan to get you making mischief. First you must meet the ancient elders, they will teach you curiosity kindness and wit. Then grab your silly hats and join Crash and Wallop for crazy quizzes and circus trickery!

Den of Enquiry

Den of Enquiry gets kids talking about democracy by having fun with rhythms and rhymes. So put your critical thinking cap on and join Miranda Duffy for a poetry whoosh. Is democracy more than just about voting? Come and find out! How can a limerick help us explore symbols of democracy? What have democratic values got to do with baking? And what exactly is a poem anyway?
